Nicorette Inhalator assists you in your fight to quit smoking. It contains nicotine to treat your cravings for smoke.

How Does Nicorette Inhalator Help

Nicorette Inhalator supports your efforts to resist the urge to smoke. Nicotine in cigarette is the cause of addiction in smokers. Nicorette Inhalator contains nicotine to some extent, which is released from a cartridge. The inhalator consists of a mouthpiece, which is attached to the cartridge. Drawing air through the mouthpiece enables release of nicotine from the cartridge, which is absorbed by you. Such absorption of nicotine helps to reduce cravings.

It is said that a smoker who smokes a pack a day brings his hand to his mouth about 200 times. Using Nicotine Inhalator keeps your hands busy and hence your physical addiction to having a cigarette on hand is also reduced.

How To Use Nicorette Inhalator

Nicorette Inhalator is designed in such a way that it is held like a cigarette. You need to take a shallow puff every 2 seconds. You can also take 4 deep puffs every minute. Use up all the nicotine in the cartridge by smoking thus. One cartridge lasts up to 20 minutes.

It is best not to hold on to one cartridge the whole day. Smoking habits may differ but the most successful quitters have used an average of six cartridges a day. It is recommended to use between 6 -12 cartridges a day for the first 12 weeks. Using too few or too many cartridges will not produce desired effect.

Use Nicorette Inhalator during smoke-free periods such as in no-smoke zone and in situations where you generally avoid smoking.

Read the label before using the product. If you still have any questions, it is recommended to contact your pharmacist.

Smoking Reduction

The best way to extend smoke-free intervals is by using Nicorette Inhalator between smoking episodes. This aids in reducing smoking.

Once you feel ready, you should try to come out of the smoking habit. The time taken to reduce smoking should be within 6 months from the commencement of treatment. If, even after 9 months, you find it difficult to make an earnest attempt to quit smoking, you should seek professional advice.

Do not use the inhalator for more than a year.

How To Combine Use Of Nicorette Patch And Inhalator

Nicorette Inhalator or Nicorette Patch alone would suffice in treating the cravings for cigarettes. However, for some, Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) may seem ineffective. If you fall under this category of people whose cravings are intense and too often, it is best to combine Nicorette® 10mg Inhaler and Nicorette® Patch.

Apply Nicorette® 15mg/16 hour Patch to an intact area of skin every morning. It should be removed before going to bed. Use Nicorette® 10mg Inhalator whenever you have a craving. For best results, it is recommended to use at least 4-5 Nicorette® Inhalator cartridges every day. The combination of Nicorette® Patch and Nicorette® Inhalator should be used as suggested for 6 to 12 weeks. After using so for the mentioned time, you can wean yourself off NRT by either:

Use Nicorette® Patch 10mg/16 hour for 3 to 6 weeks. Follow it up with Nicorette® Patch 5mg/16 hour for the next 3 to 6 weeks. Simultaneously use the same number of Nicorette Inhalator cartridges you have been using every day. Once you have stopped using the patch, reduce use of inhalator gradually until you no longer need them. OR stop using Nicorette® 15mg/16 hour patch and gradually reduce use of inhalator cartridges till the desired results are achieved.
